The Idea

The NAMUH movement is an app and website that connects humans all around the world seeking to create positive change. Think Tinder meets EQ meets Humanitarian's. The app world is growing, along with the percentage of people who own cell phones. Normally the idea of technology scares me. It took me a long time to realize that it didn't have to be so intimidating and negative. Technology, in this case, might just be the one tool that connects and aids in changing the world. How the app works: Within the next year our app idea will be up and running. One simply has to go to their "Play Store" or "App World" on their mobile device and type in the name "NAMUH." Our app will pop up, and you can download it for free. Once downloaded you will be given the opportunity to fill out a mini profile of yourself and your interests. For an example of this, go to the post on this blog titled "Brooke's Profile" or "Patricia's Profile." These profiles include a main category of interest. These interests can range from social equality, to the use of pesticides in certain areas. Your interest will be put through our search engine and you will be connected with any other users who are passionate and persistent about this interest as well as, seeking to make change. The idea is that you will become connected with other profiles of individuals around the world who are trying to make a difference, or promote change, but may feel like doing it on their own is too much. Too heavy. Please see the next post "The Hope" for more information on our ending goal.
